OASIS IS COMING TO TOWN
February 23rd, Indoor Stadium. One night only. dareka ga boku to ishoni mi ni ikitai?
Okay this is a dream come true. If only... U2, then i'd have died and gone somewhere high up.
Well I went up north for 4 days, penang/sungei petani. Accomodation: grandmother's house, with mosquitoes (oooh fresh blood) and very generous cousins =D. We watched King Kong! Only to find the dvd in the shop next to the cinema later (the owner of the shop, incidentally, is my cousin's friend =D). Didn't get to ride his motorbike though. No the main highlight, as usual, was the FOOD. Penang food! I waded through a sea of assam laksa, char koay teow (with COCKLES), lok lok, hokkien mee, my grandmother's cooking and much, much more. Quite a disappointment to come back. (in a bloody bus whose driver had delusions of being michael schumacher)
Speaking of FOODDinner with ngiam, chian fern and yong han. I think, these will be the greatest makan buddies ever. No questions asked! Lub all the food you can! Now its real fun going out with the band-gang (my extended family), but the food we eat is sadly. lacking. Steamboat from seah street, then hop over to purvis st for beef noodles, now that is real pleasure =D
Then we wanted to go to the national library, but that is a different story altogether.
