An Experiment! (hai!)

Irony no. 1: People are more free during school term than holidays.
Fact no. 2: The sec 1 batch is crap.

But we strive on (:

Post-japan depression: the feeling of worthlessness and boredom and lack of things to do after one returns from a great trip to japan.

So many people I want to go out with, but they are either not free or ten million km away. ihatethis. Nothing to do but read then, bury nose in thick book/newspaper/magazine. Currently on the seventh book of wot, out of ten, each book being 1000+ pages long xD. If only my sister doesn't keep stealing them from me hear that?

I like reading. Plug headphone/speakers into musicmachine, turn on, open book, open eyes, read, flip page when necessary. Do it on the bus, on the mrt, while lolling about in bed, standing in the queue at the interchange, at the stop, on the walk home. It might be hard going at first, but sooner or later (if the book is good), it'll... seep into you and you won't be able to put it down. bingo! You'll wish that the bus ride was longer, that you had just a few more stops to finish that bloody chapter. If you're lucky, the guy/girl sitting next to you will try to surrepitiously crane his/her neck over your shoulder to read it too... then you must remember that a book is meant to be shared (:

Competitions are nice things to take part in, too. There's the usual yaddayadda about glory and honour and whatnot. But the perks are more interesting. Aside from the usual lot: free (non-revada (:) food, meet new and interesting people of (usually) similar interests, there are also the prizes (if you win xD), among others:

book voucher (hundreds. each.)
cash (thousands)
mp3 player

plus the usual pretty plastic thing.

And a lot of other nice stuff (:

ask any risc member for more info. alternatively, volunteer at the yio chu kang gracehaven salvation army home for a similar but wildly different experience
