The System.
is bloody stupid.
You know what system I'm talking about here, the one that arrests you at six am in the morning, and forcibly detains you ISD-ish until about two the next day. It's gone beyond just busy, just tired, just drained; it's what we call draining. Like the vampire that latches on to your neck and sucks vital force out.
Nonono we are not TIRED anymore, we are DEAD. we are walking automatons dedicated to a life of committee-report-planplanplan-drinkcoffee-heyweneedtomeettodiscussthisshit-weneedvolunteers.
Its not torturous or painful or anything as extreme as that. its this perpetual bureacracy that we service with sixteen hours of life each day.
life has blended into this endless mundane stream of uniformity, where we sleep on the same day we wake up in. there is no life here, just circuits and chemistry. there's just no distinction between this day and the next, this committee and the next, this piece of homework and the next, this school and the next. i mean, why bother in the first place if it's all GOING TO BE THE SAME?
i think i posted something earlier about normalcy. that was utterly wrong. WE ARE NOT NORMAL HERE. the worst part is, we take PRIDE in our abnormality, calling it 'ELITISM'. bloody hell. is it normal to fall asleep in half the classes?
WHY ARE WE SLEEPING FOUR HOURS EACH NIGHT?
WHY ARE WE SPENDING EIGHT HOURS A DAY IN THE SERVICE OF A SCHOOL POPULATION WHO DOESN'T GIVE HALF A DAMN ABOUT IT ANYWAY?
WHY ARE WE DOING THINGS JUST FOR THE SAKE OF DOING THEM?
WHY IS IT WHEN I GO TO SLEEP I LOOK OUT OF MY WINDOW AND MY ROOM IS THE ONLY ONE LIT IN THE ENTIRE NEIGHBOURHOOD?
